Perched high above the Hauraki Gulf with sweeping views across to Auckland City, Mudbrick Vineyard is one of Waiheke Island’s most iconic and romantic destinations. Known for its award-winning wines, exceptional dining, and beautifully landscaped grounds, it offers a premium island experience that blends elegance with rustic charm.
Mudbrick is more than just a vineyard — it’s a destination in its own right. The estate features two restaurants: The Mudbrick Restaurant, which offers fine dining with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, and The Archive Bar & Bistro, a more relaxed yet equally refined space with panoramic views and modern bistro fare. Both are surrounded by fragrant herb gardens, lavender, and perfectly manicured vineyards, making it one of the most picturesque spots on the island.
Wine lovers can enjoy cellar door tastings daily, where knowledgeable staff guide you through a selection of Mudbrick’s varietals, including Syrah, Chardonnay, Merlot blends, and aromatic whites grown on Waiheke and in other premium regions across New Zealand. For those wanting a deeper dive, private tastings and vineyard tours are also available by arrangement.
The estate also offers luxury accommodation, including the romantic Mudbrick Lodge, and stylish Merlot and Chardonnay Cottages, perfect for couples, honeymooners, or small groups wanting a peaceful vineyard retreat. Guests staying overnight enjoy exclusive access to the property after hours, making it a popular choice for proposals, anniversaries, and wedding parties.
Speaking of weddings — Mudbrick is one of Waiheke’s most sought-after wedding venues, offering ceremony locations with jaw-dropping views, bespoke catering, and a team dedicated to creating unforgettable events. The venue’s versatility also makes it ideal for corporate retreats and special celebrations.
Whether you’re visiting for a wine tasting, a romantic lunch, or a weekend escape, Mudbrick captures the magic of Waiheke Island like nowhere else — where fine wine, food, and views come together in perfect harmony.
